Tecovas briefly brought back the Pythons last week. I was able to snatch up a pair.

I've got only four pair of western boots so I'm not an expert by any means. My only exotic is a pair of caiman from Tecova's. OTOH, I've got a number of handgun holsters that use exotic leather, including shark, elephant and ostrich. These exotics are commonly used in handgun holsters and are not very expensive. Why don't I see more boots using thees exotic leathers??

Huh? Ostrich is the most common Exotic leather for boots. Elephant was banned for a while. It's available right now because African governments are thinning out herds for population control. My guess is you might not be able to get them in the near future.

Maybe because you're living in Spranghill La?? Other than shark, elephant/ostrich are pretty dang popular boots. If Anderson Bean had shark i would buy today but they're not in the line up and probably will never be.
My cousin owns the greenhouses across from lumberjack stadium in Spranghill.

You're correct. I misspoke. I meant to say giraffe.

I hate this board sometimes... Because of this thread I checked out the exotics on Boot Barn and found some Cody James full quill Ostrich half off. I left the window open 3 days on my phone hoping they’d sell out of my size

HaHa! Yeah, that may well be a factor.

I've not searched the internet real hard. Mainly I keep up w/ the exotic leather offering at Tecovas,

Those are good folks. I don't make it to their store very often, but they're always helpful. A family member was the equipment manager for a number of LSU sports '19-'20, including football. Do you know if he's still doing that? Some years ago he was also Manieri's right hand man.

Talked to him at Stoney Brook game so I am sure he still does, in charge of equipment for football, bb, track.

Did you buy them? Where are they made? I saw they make a Full Quill Steel Toe and was considering them for work.

As long as they're not made in China.
