I've fished several times over the last 3 years. Usually stay in the state park just down the road, nice clean cabins and won't break the bank. I've caught several over 8lbs and a couple over 9. Still haven't hit the double digit mark yet, but I'm confident that I will eventually and Bussey will be where it happens. KVD was there this past weekend. Everytime someone catches a hog, they post it on the facebook page, which keeps the lake packed.

There are some major egos on that FB page. And there are some that catch more DD bass than anyone on that page and never say a word

That fb page has more cry baby adults than deer hunting fb pages, and that’s saying something.
I caught a 10 and a 9 back to back last year, took a picture with both, then turned the 9 loose. Posted that picture, and the comments were unreal. I video’d myself letting the 9 pounder go because I never thought I’d be doing that in my life, and posted that as proof, and still was called a liar
I have a trip planned to go there with my brother, but if it weren’t for him wanting to go, I wouldn’t even be going.

Cool story bro…..

Was fishing Caney circa 1999. Noticed a guy jigging by the bridge in deep water. Was there when we launched and in the same spot when we went to get lunch. Caught a PB. Ended up being 8. While we were weighing it at Browns I see a picture on the board of the same guy from about an hour earlier holding an 11+.

Place was a gem. Glad to see it on the right path.
