New Yamaha gas cars are quiet. Batteries are expensive to replace. Friend owns a Yamaha cart dealer and he said he’s always buy a new gas cart over a battery

Does anybody have any idea how much it would cost to hire someone to convert a 48 V LED acid Golf Cart to a fully lithium battery golf cart? Anybody know who does this in BR area?

I went electric with the 52v lithium battery. Really nice for the neighborhood. Just a convenience thing for me...just plug it in and never worry about whether or not there’s any gas left in my gas can.

For the prices of some of the linked ones, you are getting in range of a SxS that will haul more people, run 65 mph, navigate almost any terrain and tow 2k+ lbs.

But you can’t really go cruse around in your neighborhood on a SXS. They all have there place just depends what you are trying to do. You can pick up a gold cart pretty cheep if you want to do some of the work yourself.

you have to replace batteries every 2-5yrs

I have had to replace mine 1x in 8 years. Just do easy monthly maintenance and it will last. The cost ends up being about $600-800 depending on how many batteries.

What kind of cart do you have?

It could be very easy to do yourself.

A couple of linked ones were $10k+, for that money get a SxS, you can do anything a golf cart can do, plus a ton more. However, due to speed and power, you don't want to let kids too young operate one, unsupervised.

I like the quiet ride of a battery cart... we cruise the subdivision and cane fields and it’s nice to sit back, sip a natty, and not talk over a gas motor.

This x1000.

There’s SxS’s in the neighborhood too. And there’s just a time and a place where I’m thinking ‘god I hate riding around in this f’ing SxS’.

A lot of clay shoots I go to I much prefer the golf cart as well. They’re just easier and nicer in a lot of ways.
