Dawn dish soap, let is sit a while before washing

I’ve used Dawn on grease stains on 100% cotton shirts that the grease stains were discovered AFTER going through washer and dryer. Simply treat it full strength, fold the shirt up and put back in dirty clothes. The next time it washes the grease stains are gone. I’m talking cooking oil type of stuff.
If you are talking dark motor oil I doubt it would work. Probably some kind of distillate (hand cleaner) might work.

Greased Lighting cleaner + Dawn. scrub with brush and let sit overnight. then wash. usually takes a couple of tries to get it all out.

Era laundry soap. It does a great job. Put some on and let it soak for a bit, then throw in the washer.
We have been using it for washing greasy grimy hands at the shop for years. Mechanics, welders, etc get their hands covered n grime and a bit of Era rubbed around and then a bit of brushing makes those hands perfectly clean and ready to hold the baby or greet the parishioners at church.

Put the item on a cutting board, drop some pine sol on the stain, let it sit a few mins, then using the edge of a spoon, scrape the stain with enough pressure to not tear up the fabric and the stain should come out
