Yeah they guy is 100% drumming up business.

Delta Duck and PAL had the least amount of birds i've ever seen for opening weekend. Private leases N. of Baptiste even said it was the least amount of birds they've had.

Luckily the few that were there were not educated yet and gave it up pretty easily.

Pintails were in decent numbers Saturday (not like normal) but Sunday we did not even see a flock of them. The divers are MIA (not mad about it but still a sign that ducks are not down.)

Coots are also MIA. This time last year (and years prior) we had rafts and rafts of coots in ponds with us. This year we had 5 coots in the pond all day.

On top of that the river was awful.

Nice try, guy I work with killed limits down there this weekend. They have to be stacked for that to happen.

So your colleague likely shot a two-man limits of blue wings and that means Venice is LOADED.

Happy for your colleague, I am just stating the facts as they are.

It was a 6 man! Well they had 6 pins, 6 dogs and the balance teal. I just know he lurks, possibly posts here.

ETA-I've heard from others it was slim pickings down there and further north. The ponds on the Delta that usually have a ton of birds, very few to none.

that reminds me of some face painted, sitkaed up, flat billers I saw at the store in Gueydan last year during teal season. They got out the truck and I asked how they did. One of them went, “FIVE MAN!”
I said what you said.
Again, “ FIVE MAN!”

Yes and it won't stop until idiots stop leasing them. Every year there is a new crop of suckers.

2nd split opens this weekend. Any word on new birds in the area? Haven’t been out to the lease in a few weeks. Hoping some recent cold coming through helps

Haven't heard or seen anything good lately

Few bodies of geese around but ducks are sparse unless they all sitting in the marsh

Geese are around. I went Saturday morning just to see if we had snows. Saw more ducks than I thought I would. Only one flock of teal. The rest were big ducks. Second split is looking better than the first.
