My grandfather lives 30 minutes outside of Nashville. He typically has 3-5 does in his yard every morning and evening and has plenty of 8-10 points that wander up by the edge of the woods.
He treats them like pets and won't let any of us hunt on his land.
In short: Deer are plenty.

The reason I ask is because I’m getting ready to make a move to either Tennessee or Georgia. How’s the hunting overall in GA? Specially northern GA.
I live in Collierville, TN, one of my best friends moved to NE Georgia a couple of years ago. He is in a lease in NE Georgia, but he usually can't wait to get back to hunt West TN/North MS, especially for turkeys. He likes the difference in the land being in the hills of Georgia, but the hunting is better in TN

I live 30 minutes NE of Nashville. I have 17 acres. Deer, and turkeys walk through daily. Ducks land in a nearby pond. Geese fly over occasionally. The pic of the world class deer is from this area.
