Leases in the area you’re looking at start at around $25 an acre and the sky is the limit from there.
There is a reason LDWLF changed area 4 limit and season. Deer numbers are down and hunter numbers keep growing

Even the shitty leases are expensive and hard to get into in this area, proximity to Baton Rouge is the driver.
Hunted numerous places in this area since I was a kid, have a bunch of friends who hunt this area and I can’t find a place to join. I’m forunate enough to have family friends that own land who let me hunt, but it’s their place their rules, so I can’t come and go as I please like if it were my lease or club. I’ll say good luck, but if you don’t know anyone in the club before you get into it, there’s either a reason you’re hearing about it, or you’re one lucky SOB.

You need to see my buddy Travis who runs a Facebook page connecting hunters to leases. Just make sure you don't piss him off or you will never hear the end of it from him. Even if you don't hunt, join the page just to see the shite show when someone does piss him off. The guy is a first class douche.

Wouldn’t have all that flooded along that area? Would think it would take a few years to get the herd back to anything in the area. Especially if they trying to turn it into houses
