How many of you know about a black gnat with pork rind? It was a bait we used long ago when my dad and I were fly fishing. Does anyone still use this particular bait?

I remember using an Accordo white round dinny with a 4lb mono leader tied to hook with a Black gnat trailing in Blind River. Also those 2-3” skinny white plastic worms with a hook at each end on the fly rod. I miss that stuff every spring.

Never heard of that one but if you get a #10 chartreuse Prissy Miss popping bug and a 5 wt. fly rod you can slay the bream.

My Dad and I used to use black gnats with a small piece rubber we cut off a white grub.
I liked chartreuse popping bugs a lot, also.I would use that first,if they weren’t hitting that well,I would the black gnat.

Tennessee Williams canal had bream jumpin' in the boat for those black gnats.

Damn skippy! Alligator canal was my favorite but enjoyed all Blind River had to offer back in the eighties.
