But what if it isn't the terms and conditions going in? What if there are a-holes that just "shoot from the hip" so to speak.

If it isn't the terms of the club then you may have a right to speak up. The club I was in was basically a shoot what you want type club, really nobody had too much of a legitimate reason to gripe about it cause thats what it was from the get go.

Some old fricker was bitching about smaller does being shot when he was shooting beautiful young fricking 4 pts. He's dead now, karma is a mother fricker.

I agree chad if that is the kind of club it is then that is what it is. That is not what I'm talking about here.

Just to explain my club, it is almost all family members. It's been around 40 years and it was big to get any kind of antler restrictions in about ten years ago. It used to be people shooting six bucks no matter what size.

pretty much what it is where we hunt behind my house. Its not my ideal move but if I pass on it the second it walks out on the neighbors is going to be sausage

three old men but its the extended brother in laws and cousins and so and so's that ruin it and the old men don't want to offend each other's kin and they don't crack down.

maybe let things settle down a bit after deer season and have some type of enforcement meeting during the offseason to enforce current rules to all with out finger pointing (Even though it wouldn't be hard to put 2 +2 together)

on my place in macon we took 7 does this weekend between 6 hunters. we have 1700 acres and waaaay too many does. saturday morning we saw 40+ does between 4 people. we need to kill does.

small bucks on ther other hand....no. for the most part. most everyone practices good buck management but last weekend one of our guys let his wife shoot a 2 1/2 yar old 8 point in a feild full of does. this is a guy who goes to Iowa, and oklahome every year and also has other great property in MS.

All of the clubs around our lease are on some type of management. Our lease is 18" main beam or better and 6 point or better for kids. Seems kinda tight but after 8+ years, there are little 6 points everywere and a lot of good bucks.

Sounds like she gave him a deal. "Let me shoot that deer..and I'll give you a bj." Either that or she was going to let him PIIHB.

Hopefully the buck of choice is a cull deer that needs to be taken out.

Or maybe a young buck for a young hunter. At our club if your child has never killed a deer he/she can shoot anything as their first one. after that, standard rules apply no matter how old the kid is.

I was in a hunting club like that a few years back. One guy would shoot at least 10 bucks/year. One day he shot two nice 8pts who were fighting and then shot a spike the next day.

We are managing some land around Shreveport and are only shooting mature bucks. In one year of managing and feeding, we have been seeing some really nice improvements. I let a 6 and a 4 walk this weekend and one of my buddies let a nice 2.5 year old 8 walk. It'll pay off in a few years.

I had some cousins who live in South Louisiana came up to the club and commenced shooting every deer that walked by. They killed at least four deer in two days on the stand next to our best stand.

Make the five deer in two days. Dad found a doe they had shot and couldn't find this morning while scouting around our stand.

That sucks cuz. They need to show a little more respect. Try giving them the back of the hand?

I try not to give the back of my hand to people that are armed.
