Will be 4 of us down in Key West in July and looking to see if anyone has any first hand recommendations for an inshore/reef guide for a trip. We're not wanting to do any offshore trolling. Thanks.

Do NOT go with Sam Shaw @ Showtime Charters out of Key West. Worst guide experience I've ever had.

I recommend Capt. Justin Valakis. Good guy, easy going, keeps everything organized on his boat, lives, eats & breathes fish. He has lived in Key West for a while and can accommodate what you’re looking for. We fished with him last October.

Unrelated…but reserve early and eat at Lola’s Bistro. They have two dinner seatings. It was incredible.

Thanks for the recommendations. There were some conflicts with dates for booking, but I was able to get us booked for a 6 hour private charter. They're getting pretty filled up because the week we will be there will be older the 4th.

I told my wife about Lola's and shes already sold because that's the name of our 20 year old English Bulldog.
