Had a spike come cruising by this morning. That was it. Heard a shot on the ridge I hunted yesterday. I picked a tree to climb on that ridge this morning but ended up going past it instead. The tree I picked had climber teeth marks on it when I passed by. Ole boy killed one out of the exact tree I was going to hunt lol
Did some scouting midday. Didn’t like anything I found, but it was too late to walk to the boat and go somewhere else. So I hopped up on a lay down for the evening. Wind is completely wrong, it’s hot, thermacell is working overtime, confidence is very low. That’s the hunts you see the big ones though. So I’ll try to be optimistic.
I’ll be at a different place with my bow tomorrow and Sunday for sure. I’m over the people pressure

Had a bobcat and skunk visit last week. Looking for a coyote as mating season is kicking off for them.
