What takes over 6 hours?

That's what I was thinking ST. I could dredge up the oysters, trap the crabs, net the shrimp and then peel/shuck them, make a stock and a homemade roux, cut up my own veggies and have it ready in less than 6 hours.

Combined cooking time of 6 hrs? That seems about correct.

I'm sitting in the work truck (which is dirty as hell and stinks like cigarettes) watching a contractor try and drive piles. The hammer is broken and I don't want to go ask "what happened...?" just yet

Old logging road.

Hunt started slow but just had a bunch of chasing behind me. Heard the deepest grunts I have ever heard. The caravan of deer stayed in the thick woods as usual.

Didn't see shite. I am a horrible hunter. Five days and didn't see a single buck.

PSA for Remora holsters: 30% off and a free mag holder when you buy one of their IWB/no clip holsters.

Got one last night for $22.19 shipped.

These holsters basically stick wherever you put them, opening up a lot of different options for concealed carry. Supposed to be really good. Worth trying for $22 anyway.

Went for a walk about. Had a small buck get away from me due to shooting the shite on the phone.

Jumped a few deer and shot a small doe. Fresh meat was what I was looking for.

good job!

went and put out feed and checked game cameras. Damn tripod blew over again and broke some of the welds on the rails

Lots of good young bucks on camera, only one shooter though, and saving it for the Mrs. A few pigs, none during the daylight. Plenty of does for the freezer though.

Oh, the bucks were fighting like mean little bastards over the pile of rice bran

I got 3 doe tags, so that is plenty for meat, and we only shoot bucks that we think are 4.5 or older. And I have a bunch that I don't think are there yet.

Back at it this afternoon. The mrs. is in a tree by the creek and I'm this box. She's out hunting me right now but was tired of not seeing shite the last two days. She's got a browning 270 WSM and I've got my 300 WSM. I hope she busts something's arse.
