Would you happen to know the year model? I expect all the problems from 20-22, it was an entire new vehicle. It's going to have bugs, unfortunately that's all you get for reviews was all the growing pains.

Ford strengthened the 10R80 ten speed transmission in 2023 which has improved the reliability so far.

The biggest issues was the CDF Drum bushing would slip out of place on older versions but the upgrade added a lip to prevent slippage.

They also improved the CDF drum by switching from bare aluminum to anodized aluminum to prevent ridge wear.

I don’t think GM has upgraded their 10L80 to match Ford as of yet.

Wife has a 2023 base wagoneer L. I bought it used with 4k miles so i was able to mitigate the depreciation loss. Have over 50k miles now.

Pros: Plenty of room even with 4 young kids. Rides awesome. The hurricane has plenty of power despite being only 3.0 L.

Cons: electrical bugs from time to time. Have to occasionally shut off the vehicle to get some buttons to work again etc. No dipstick.

Been in the shop twice. Once for the thermostat which almost overheated the engine. They decided to take a really simple part of an engine and turn it into an electric ball valve which failed closed while driving. The other time was for a faulty primary fuse (200 amp?) under the battery.

Even though the engine has plenty power i would much rather have a V8 and wish they had continued it. I dont think you can find any L models with a V8 as they were never offered the option. The hurricane seems to be good so far but i really recommend you change the engine oil early and use a good synthetic such as pennzoil ultra platinum. Direct injection dilutes and dirties the oil so fast its a little scary.

Not a vehicle I'd buy new due to the rapid depreciation. The couple people I know that have them like them though.
