I can't believe they only let you keep 1 red. That's crazy.

Yeah, I guess they don't have the numbers that we have in Florida. The slot is 18"-27". For specks it's a 5 limit and slot of 15"-20", you can keep one over 20". I can tell you that they have some decent size reds and trout there.

Man this is most timely/coolest thread (4 me) that I've seen in a while. Headed down to San Destin in a couple of weeks, and will FOR sure look this lil place up. Apparently, a bait shop close by has live shrimp? Name?

Tide was really really slack. We fished w/Mary, and only caught about 40, and all of those were caught early under birds. Real timid bite. Missed alot of fish, all caught on artificials. Some BIG trout though. Didn't measure a fish, w/20 of them prolly over 2, many over 3, and several over 4. Didn't jack w/the reds, and called it an early day (bout noon). Had my FIL w/me, who's 77ish, Stayed at the Isle. DON"T DO IT!!. Did win a lil money though.

I typically come from Pensacola when I head to Navarre, so I stop in Gulf Breeze at Hot Spot Bait and Tackle. It's a good 20 mins from the fishing spot towards Pcola. Maybe Navarre has a bait shop?

Bumping this thread because I'll be in Navarre next week and thinking about bringing my kayak. Anyone fish around here lately? Other launch points welcome if you have them also.

As long as it's moving, but it seems like we have had more luck when tide is moving out.
