If they do get back on me, who am I to think I am more hardcore or committed? Its the nature of public land. shite, I spent a lifetime on public land in NELA, if I show up tomorrow and haven't been there in 20 years..I am going to head to our ol honey holes. I guarantee it will piss someone off, but to say I never put in the work or paid my dues is just silly.
Hell, the pothole in the woods you are hunting is there cause I cut it out with a handsaw in August of 85
Foot I agree with what you saying, I know I'm more committed when I show up to the hole i been huntin since I could walk LONG before a face painter come walk in late. Typiclly they dont leave, they setup and ruin everyones hunt. Thats why I walk 2 mile sometimes to hunt.The issue is tehre is simply to many people duck hunting in Louisiana today

I really haven't set foot on public land in like 10 years. But when I did, I go out mid morning and have all the places to myself. I don't know how many limits I killed in college hunting from 12-2.
On a side note, a WMA can fill up with birds from 1:50 to 2:10. Freaky how they know.

I agree, sometimes my favorite part of the hunt is the walk in. I like to be as far from other hunters as possible. Theres something to be said about it just being you and the land.
