That looks like a sweet little gun. Any idea how much it runs?
Btw we went back and looked again on successive days and never saw any sign or buzzards. Afer going out there he apparently too a shot from a lower elevation too. So aiming high shoulder from a lower elevation if he did hit a little high he may have just skinned the surface. Then again after reading the very entertaining review above, he may have hit him just below the spine and had no exit wound. May have missed major vessels and only hit one lung. Deer could get up and run for long way after a shot like that. Since he fell on his off shoulder side, adn no exit wound there might not have been much blood.
Regardless the buck is gone.

I like guns but to hell with that. I will stick with the venerable .308, it hasnt failed me yet.
