Not a chance in that spot.

Any man that leaves his gun in a deer stand deserves for it to be stolen.
On the other hand, I am glad that dud from Maringuin was caught. He is charged with some serious crimes and I hope he does some time for it.

I know a group of tards that left all their shotguns in the pit blind. They got cleaned out 6 or 7 guns, all Benelli's, Beretta's, Golds etc.
They thought they were safe.....

Alright, I’ll bite. I hunt family property that I’ve been hunting for 50 years; saw a trespasser in one of our ladder stands back in the 80’s. Never seen another one.
When I hunt a Saturday evening many times I’ll just leave my rifle in the stand until the next morning. There’s a locked gate at the road and my camp site is a half mile past that. The only logging road into the woods goes right thru my campsite and then it’s another 1/4 mile to the stand. Maybe I’m naive.

Similar thing happened to an old man that lived nearby except he had his gun.Nice buck walked in front of him as he was taking a dump. Recoil knocked him backwards onto his pile of crap. He got the deer though.
That’s a story to tell his grandkids and cherish.
