Like I previously mentioned, all my interaction is with high rolling northeast LA farmers.

I have no clue .. I'm the wife!

Husband is more of a fisherman than hunter and hasn't been yet this season (split?). He's been too busy trying to get the beans shipped out and 2nd rice crop cut.

Did hear him tell someone something about a friend killed 3 on the land???

He's got a BS and an MS from LSU

Did he graduate late 90's? Sounds like a guy I went to LSU with.

We don't have any super nice ones ... go figure. I'd love to have a "photo shoot" of my husband/fatherinlaw/sons in the field. Not a posed shoot but just of them around .. planting, harvesting, shipping, welding, leveling bins .. fun stuff.

eta son had a real nice pic from the tractor during harvest of the view in front of him (he was driving the cart). My mom called it "Amber Waves of Grain". It really was nice.

We did take our older sons senior pictures in the field in August of his senior year. THOSE came out REALLY nice. Hope to do that again for son #2 and daughter.

If his initials are DR I worked with his brother at a golf corse for about 5 years. My initials SD.

Yes, but unless I'd met you the SD isn't ringing a bell. But you've got the right person.

A pic in front of the combine reel in a field being harvested makes a great pic. We used to do those all the time.

Never thought to send the camera with him ... I loved to see the bunnies jumping through the rice from time to time. My 2nd son and then my daughter used to take naps in the combine with the nice, humming of it all.

Speaking of combine, the one we used until this year WAS old. My husband babied that thing ... it must be at least 17 or 18 years old. Kept it when we did a lease/purchase on a new combine ... they offered little to no money for it. Broke it out this year and had 2 combines going ... Lordy they were cutting some rice. Too bad the prices aren't great. C'est la vie ... as long as the bills are paid it's all good.

My rice production was based in Nawf LA. So that means nothing to me

No, I don't work for Terral.

And I love me some subsidy money! How else am I going to pay for my platinum edition Tundra? (had to make this joke.... that's true)

This is not the type of family farmers that I have complained about "poor mouthing"..I think I've been pretty consistent in my posts in this thread and the types that really get under my skin.. ... I'll agree with Josey and say most of my dealings have been with the "po mouthin' farmers of NELa", as they fly off to Mexico to shoot doves, or Aspen to ski, blah, blah,, you know the type, I'm sure..
