Think that's the same video
Ok. Good video. Remember they only did 20 miles a day and it took 6 months. Only one horse made the whole trip.

I don't care if it's saved or bookmarked or whatever, just please don't post anything that will get it whacked because I'm never going to go through the effort to post all those pics again

Nevermind. I haven't seen that. I've only seen the Nat. Geo. doc. on Netflix and cable.

Bud light stove
I got some of these bottles yesterday, drank them and am going to make a few of these stoves. Looks like they boil 2 cups in about 4-5 minutes.
May sacrifice my self to drink a bunch of these for all the scouts to have materials to make one.

Petzl or black diamond. Light and water resistant. Having a red light option is great too. Use white while you walk but red around camp. The red light uses less battery and it saves your natural night vision. In other words, after you turn off the light you will still be able to see; whereas with a bright white light it takes a while for your eyes to adjust.

I'd listen to these other guys about the headlight, but to answer your question, no. I like my CREE because it's cheap and bright as all hell, but it's not something I would trust to keep working the whole time you're hiking, especially if you're gonna be depending on it. It's a bright LED but still a cheap chinese made light, it's not waterproof and if you drop it hard it seems like it'll break. Only advantage of the CREE is it's rechargeable and as bright as some of the expensive lights but for a fraction of the price.
