make sure to bring your winter gear! 545 feet is nothing to play around with!
seriously, that's something I wouldn't mind doing myself. Also,Mississippi has Mt Woodall that is slightly under 800 ft.

Anyone hiked Magazine in Arkansas?

eta: Woodall is 807

I think I've been to Mt Woodall. I think we drove to the top. I was really young but thought I remember my dad saying it was the highest point.

It's in extreme NE Miss.
My delimma is I can hardly justify driving to NW Arkansas or even North Mississippi or Alabama...If I've gone that far I might as well drive to the smokies.

You'll be hooked once you do. Pretty damn fun accomplishment. I don't have any under my belt but plan on it.

There are lots of places that are close that u just don't get out to see often. It's been about 20 years since I've been to Clark's creek trails.

I want to summit Driskol Mt (not sure how to spell it) this summer.
I've always wanted to summit mt. Driskill. I've climbed over 50 mountains over 4,000 feet and summited a 14'er, yet I've never been to my home state's highest point.

I do Clark's creek every few years...surprises me how tough it is every time. (I've never really been in good cardio shape until now)

My high point is South Sister, 10,358.

I plan on attempting Mt. Rainier in the next year.

I remember seeing a trail that was loaded with bikers near buffalo bills grave in golden. You'll have fun, enjoy. I really wish I had access to the mountains right now.

Chautauqua Park in Boulder is great and the Royal Arch trail has a cool view of Denver. It's also a very close drive.

I have done Mt Massive near Leadville years ago when visiting family who live there. Pretty disappointing for the altitude. Lots of the mountains in Co. don't have a lot of prominence.

What do you think about the tarptent contrail or something like it? Its obviously light weight. What are the cons?

its not technically difficult, just a long, long walk up

its just a massive hump

Lot more prominence than some other 14'ers in Co. Most are just somewhat inclined hikes at high elevations.
