The guy paid $85k for this built up green Jeep and had it less than a week when I snapped this picture at the Winter 4x4 in Sand Springs, UT. Red jeep just gunned it and got out o the way at the last second. Only clipped his tire on the rear tire carrier. The obstacle is actually on the other side of the knobs this was the exit out of the obstacle. Guy just wasn't paying attention out of the exit turned too wide. In the second picture with the guy in the orange shirt you see a bolder above his head. Green jeep's driver wheel drove over that rock as he was trying to make that turn and it just pitched him to the side.

Thanks! It's a 50 yarder - looks great from 50 yards but the flaws start popping up the closer you get. There's no rust, but the paint is touched up with a rattle can, top isn't great, etc. But, I kind of like it being a little "rugged". I don't have to worry about scratching it.

And the Old Iron on the windshield just makes that point for you.

a few wheelin' shots for your enjoyment:

35's

37's

40's

and this is what happens to your wife's vehicle when a 40' tire comes off your trailer:

Phase One: Getting all the crap out of my way to replace the exhaust manifold gasket and/or exhaust manifold on the Jeep.

Status: Complete

Phase Two: Prep exhaust manifold bolts for extraction.

Status: In Process

Dear Lord/Baby Jesus, please don’t let these things break on me tomorrow. Please?

I'm fixing to chop up my XJ. I need to find a set of front seats that can take rain. Any ideas? I only use it as a 4 wheeler around my place. A lot cheaper then a new side by side.

i'm soaking them with pb blaster over night. hopefully it's enough. you know, it's interesting. i've read in a couple different places that using an impact wrench helps. apparently, the hammering breaking the rust loose.

yes and if really concerned a few days of pb blaster coatings. might even use the impact to move the bolt slightly and PB it again

Neoprene seat covers or vinyl

I put some of the Bestop Neoprene seats (Aquamax or something like that?) in a CJ once. They were fine, except they faded FAST. I left it parked in one spot outside with the hard top on for a few weeks with a glove laying on one seat. I had a darker spot on that seat from then on where the rest of the seat had faded in the sun. And, the stitching on one seam was starting to stretch after only a couple of years. I think Bestop discontinued those seats, but just a heads up on neoprene in general. I'll stick with vinyl from now on.

Bad thing about vinyl is the sticking

They all have pros and cons. The sun destroys everything in the end though
