Got it done and she purs like a kitten now.

It was missing a bolt and 3 were already lose. Used a cordless impact on the others to listen them up. I actually feel accomplished.

Experienced Death Wobble for the first time tonight. Ran over some rail road tracks and BAM. I thought the front end was going to come apart. What a ride!

I’ll be there. Leaving Friday after work. Haven’t decided if I’m trailering or driving. It’s going to be a sloppy mess out there. I doubt I’ll do much wheelin. I will have many beers though and watch the big boys climb.

Thats pretty much all it ends up being anyway too many people. I love when there's no one at Sicily.

My group is still on the fence. Lots of guys who moved when they got jobs, and the weather will be iffy

When it’s nice, like last year, it’s a blast. There’s usually only mild traffic on the good stuff. This year, I imagine it’s going to be pretty much like the year before last. Lots of slipping and winching. If you go, look me up. I’ll be with Seven Slot Society and Hurricane Offroad. Black JKU with red RockKrawler decals on the quarters.

Trying to finish my tire carrier before Friday.

Don’t know if y’all made it out here this weekend but holy frick! Worst conditions I’ve ever seen out here. The entire place is just one gigantic slippery pile of shite. I went out this morning and had to winch up a trail I can normally make with few problems. I parked the Jeep at noon and decided me and my boy were just going to hang at the camp site and chill. Baked potato and ribeye were good at supper time.

We did. We got stuck on pretty much every trail. Little ditch was a fricking nightmare. And the buggies on their last run was atrociously wet. Frickin soup. Still a good time.

Just hit the brakes. Take it in to have the front end aligned.

I know a group from Bayou Junkies was going but agree with all the posts I stayed out due to the rain to slippery.

I have a new JL so I will wait until it dries up a bit. The new JL has been great, I live in West Monroe and was fortunate to have Skyjacker put their new 2.5” lift on. It is just a sport model as it is my daily driver so I don’t go to hard off road. Few more upgrades before I am trail ready but looking forward to getting out there.

Sad to say it looks like I may be trading in my 2017 jku sport. I love my jeep and it probably the most favorite vehicle I’ve ever had, but looks like we will be buying some land and building a house and I will need a truck for a couple years. Will be a sad day when I have to trade it in.

Well, I’m sure it could use new tie rod ends and ball joints. There’s no play except for in the steering box. However, the tie rod end boots are busted. I’ve found a few kits online that have everything I need to replace them. What do you guys think about these?

For front end death wobble (dating back to a CJ5 I had) the only cure I ever found was the strongest front end stabilizer I could find. They are a shock absorber and wear out as such.

Does anyone have a JK Rubicon that's around a 2011 that they can measure the side hood decals. I'm started peeling and I wrote down the measurements but I guess the wife tossed my note. I got my new decals in and would like to put them back close to stock as possible.

I’ve got dual steering stabilizers. I got the rough country yj kit.

Also, from things I’ve read, dual stabilizers only mask the problem. And I should ditch the track bars since my Jeep has leaf springs.

It's a design flaw and not just limited to Jeeps. Every solid axle front end can have this problem including the new F250's, Jeeps, and any other solid front end. I'm too damn old and have had just about every make of 4WD and it's always the same with the SFE. The worst truck I've had with wobble was a Chevrolet in the 80's, that thing was a terror to drive at times.

My first 4WD was a CJ5 in the mid 70's

Has anyone ever used those aftermarket sound pods in their Jeeps? I'm about to replace my busted radio, and put my subwoofer back in there as well. Got me thinking about adding or upgrading other areas of the sound. I've seen some that hold a 6.5 inch speaker and they mount under the door up front in a TJ. There are also some that mount between the roll bars and the tub behind the front seats. I could go old school and put some 6x9s in boxes on the back deck, but really looking to get something up front. I've already replaced the 4x6 dash speakers in the TJ with 5.25s, and upgraded the 5.25s in the speaker pods to 6.5s.

I have a 15’ that I can measure for you but I dropped it off at the shop today so it’ll probably be a week or two until I see it again.

I picked up a 2001 TJ 4.0L, 5 speed yesterday. It’ll be a 3rd car for us to have fun with. It’s basically stock, 132k miles.

Are there any solutions for easy on/off with the hardtop?

There’s also some plastic bits here and there that I want to replace and the front seat frames don’t slide forward. What’s a good retailer for OEM style Jeep parts?
