Had a 97 TJ sport and a 2000 Sahara, the two worst vehicles I’ve ever owned that I had more fun with than any other vehicle.

A guy sells a pvc rack for them. Buy a 110v harbor freight winch and hook it up.
Definitely helps turn it into an easy one many job.

here’s also some plastic bits here and there that I want to replace and the front seat frames don’t slide forward. What’s a good retailer for OEM style Jeep parts?
Is there damage to yours? If it’s just age/rust, the seats are really easy to pull out. You can put them on a bench and clean the tracks. The CJ and YJ seat tracks were shite and would go out fairly regular. TJ had more of a new car type setup. Clean and lube usually do the trick.

Found this hoist on eBay back in 2004. Just hooks at two points on ceiling and is easily cranked by just one person
Finally pulled the motor out of the CJ and sent it to the machine shop for a rebuilt. Got it back last week, but haven't installed again. Too busy!

That’s a really cool rig. I’m looking at pulley/hoist setups like that. Just trying to find the most simple solution.

It’s a simple set up. I’ll take a few pictures and post.
ETA- I lied, bought it in 07. Top Cap E-Z lift, found the receipt in my Chilton’s manual the other day. Here’s a video when I googled LIft
