the numbers don't lie...that red dodge lost...

Couldn't see his time, but it seemed like he was pulling pretty hard halfway down the track.
Damn nice starts though

yeah...that damn telephone pole wreaked havoc with my friend taking the video's all day...he didn't want to leave the ice chest of beer in the back of the truck he was sitting in to get a better shot...
different shift point for the two different style transmissions made it look that way, but I mine was pulling just as hard but at different points... like I said... the light(or lack thereof) at the top of each drivers time shows who the winner was...IIRC he ran a 13.2x two tenths slower...in drag racing that's a pretty good margin...

I'd like to see more around my neck of the woods, but I don't think people wanna pay to play in that ET range...
If I were smart, I'd quit taking chances with my truck...it puts food on the table and a roof over our head...but this one was built to make 600 daily driven reliable H.P.

My truck will probably run about 17 second quarter.

you ever dyno it? or run it at the track?
that's the exact setup that blue Ford I raced on the video had in it(see video@ 50sec. mark)...

Nope and nope. It should be getting finished up with the new motor install at TNT tomorrow

I'd have figured while you were spending the money and it was layd up, you'd have done more than that...once the you get bit by the bug it's hard to stop at small things...especially while it's out of commission...
I had the opportunity to have a motor to rebuild over the course of two years to throw all kinds of money(away)at it...But I'm not so sure I'd call that an opportunity

Anything more just gets way too expensive. I was thinking about a Spartan TCM, but my tranny is still in good shape and shifting fine.
Got a motor with 64k for $6500 though, so that saved me some change. Had to borrow most of that money because I am a second-time broke dick college student again. Got the stud kit for $450, EGR delete for $100, tuner and exhaust for $600 used, and intake for $250.

you do realize that you are living on borrowed time with that trans if you keep playing right?
while the motor was out would have been the time to upgrade the trans and TC...but if the finances aren't there I can understand...
I had the short block built by a well know racing machine shop for the new motor and we did all the swapping and other assembly ourselves...you can save a lot of money doing it yourself...that is IF you trust yourself...I don't even want to say what I've got into the new build...

Torque convertor is locking up higher than 95% and clutches aren't slipping yet. It is shifting fast and firmly because of the tuner
Getting a new transmission built would've been major money. I wanted TNT to look at it, but they told me that they don't have certifications to work on transmissions.
No motor swapping going on in my yard. I can't pick up the cab for starters
