Picked up a new place east of Evergreen Alabama

I've had a place north of Elba for a few years. Elba needs to be thinned and there's a weirdo next door. Evergreen cuts an hour off my drive. Small place, 91 acres. Anybody in that area? I make two trips a year. One in October to set up and a week in January to hunt. Anybody over that way?

A friend of mine is in a club 15 minutes from Evergreen. I usually go right after the first of the year to hunt and after turkey season for a couples weekend.

I had a small property and camp with brother a few years back. We also leased properties from Rayonier timber. Lots of deer with a few decent bucks. Brother died about 6 years ago so I sold. Locals call deer shot from 3pm to midnight evening kills and midnight until noon morning kills. Haha. My brother lived there and knew the area well. I don’t miss it because I live in Natchez Ms where the deer are bigger and there’s plenty of opportunity for me. When we first hunted Alabama the limit was 3 bucks per year and 2 does per day everyday

This one is with Rayonier. Seem like an easy company to deal with.

Yea. I’m not driving over there a bunch. Seems the bucks don’t come out in the daylight till January over there so I usually wait.

Used to have access to a really good dove field just a little north and east of there....always a bunch of deer around, never noticed a lot of monsters.

Don't forget to stop in and pick you up some freshly smoked Conecuh Sausage for camp at their smokehouse in Evergreen.
The deer density is crazy down that way.

I worked an O&G job over there between Evergreen and Andalusia. Beautiful woods and lots of deer.
Opening day hit and I'm driving some county road through the woods and I top the hill and there must have been a dozen people standing in the road with guns. I assume they were doing a drive.
I've seen that on timber access roads before, but not on the black top. I'm not sure if that was legal or not over there.
