I don't see any caterpillars or aphids or anything on my satsuma tree. All the buds have fallen off again this year. Last year we had no fruit - does this mean none for this year, too? Any suggestions?

I had the same issue on my lemon tree the last couple of years.....I planted in year 1 got a couple lemons, year 2 had a bad winter all the leaves fell off-no flowers in the spring, year 3 some leaves fell off in the winter, grew back quickly in the spring, produced some flowers, but no fruit has formed.

Same problem here. But it's been so windy here and I just planted the tree about a month ago. Won't worry about it til next year.

I have def seen that nasty critter on our satsuma tree and yes my 1.5 yr old tree was covered in buds this year and "baby satsumas" and boom all gone, not a one left on there overnight so they weren't just eaten off. No clue why

I planted two last year- maturing at different times. One was a Brown's Select, forget the other right off.

They aren't doing as well as I thought they'd be by now.

Satsumas will taken at least 2 years to keep fruit, its more like 3-4 years before they stick. I've seen fruit after the 2nd growing season stick but it's not really the "good stuff"

Be patient

Tiger 79 does that hold true for other citrus like Meyer lemons?

I planted the tree in 2008 I believe. I have a similar problem as TJG210. One satsuma in 2008, about 10 or so in 2009, none in 2010, and no blooms this year. The branches are really droopy and touch the ground because the tree itself is not all that tall. Maybe I just need to be more patient?

My neighbor's Meyer lemon tree has had the same fate. It was covered in lemons for 2009 but nothing last year.
