Scoping a Remington .308 that I just picked up.
Need something that excels in low light. Always been a Leupold guy, but want to look at other options. Thanks.

Lots of glass in that range.
I'm a firm believer in German Glass. I would spend every bit of the 1k and get something made in Germany/Austria.
I don't think you can go wrong with Zeiss, Swarovski,or Kahles.
There are a ton of good optics out there, but those 3 would be at the top of my list.

Vortex Viper PST II in your choice of power. Been doing a lot of research, since I'm looking for a good scope to put on my new 5R Remington in .260. That scope is closer to 1,000, but it's easily the best in that price range.

I've got the meopta 6-18x50 and absolutely love it. It's super clear, and had great fov up to about 15x. Super bright in low light conditions.
