We accidentally planted vetch last October and it’s just now looking thick and the deer are loving it.

Will continue to add to my mix of white clover, winter wheat and rye.

How far south are you? I have yet to see vetch handle frost where we are in Claiborne Co., MS.

Would be awesome if it did by us!

I have never seen it survive a frost. Not joint vetch anyway

I think ours is hairy vetch and it survived the frost this year. I’m right north of Woodville

Hairy vetch actually grows best in colder weather.

I took over landscape maintenance of Cabelas in Gonzales about 3-4 years ago. The beds there are full of it, and we fight pulling it every winter.
