Not to hijack but I'm in the same situation as the OP. Anyone have experience with the BNUS Italian made glasses with the Corning glass polarized lenses? Run about $60 and see alot of good reviews

Hold on bruh. Amber lens mauis are fricking awesome.

Have to agree with you here. The amber Maui’s work much better for me. Everyone is different though. Have a pair of green and blue Costas I love but I have my amber Maui’s anytime I’m sight fishing.

looked back. They are not owned by Luxotica, so that is a plus.

I'll say this, I've sent in my Costas for repairs Pre-Luxotica and gotten the no lube $$$ treatment.

About a week ago, I received my second free replacement using their warranty program. Even was able to upgrade from 580P to 580G on one of them.

So with that, I'm all for their takeover.

Shady Rays

You’ll be impressed with them for two months and then the lenses will scratch and the coating comes off. I have several pairs and I love them because they are cheap, but if you’re doing anything that is harsh on glasses they won’t last.

All of that said, you can get them half off if you get the coupon off the internet.

Also, you can get costas for a deep discount off of amazon. 580g fantails for like $170 with tax

I just procured a pair of Leupolds and I’m very impressed. I like them better than my Coatas.

Since Costa was bought out their warranty ain’t as good as it used to be.

I lost my Gascan in the Gulf in the summer of 2019. Purchased the Holbrook Metal to replace them, paid full retail price. I believe it was totally worth it and they are the best sunglasses I’ve ever had. I also invested in a strap that floats.

Panama Jack's are like 30-40$ and just fine. I would never spend over $100 on shades; even if I won the powerball

You want a copper-based lens. Green is copper-based but doesn't make it any better, its just for aesthetics.

Its probably worth mentioning again that Costa is now run by Luxottica, which is the worst company on earth with the worst customer service. So just know that going in.
