OK Team Ascend,
Look closely at the pic of the kayak on top of my sons Tahoe. The Bass Pro guys rigged this up. The crossbar on the stern end of the kayak has the same pad on it as the bow end does. The ratchet strap on the stern end was apparently to tight and has left an indention on the bottom that has not come out after one use (you can see the distortion in the pic). In the morning we are going to take the stern end rod holder(s) out and try and pop it out from the inside out. I am frustrated with this situation and hope it works. Any recommendations other than what I have mentioned. BTW, we love the kayak!

Same thing happened to mine when I strapped it down the first time. No big deal, after a hot day in the sun it will pop itself out. Haven't seen an olive one yet. Looks great
ETA: I suggest looking into buying your son a set of kayak saddles that will cradle it on the roof and keep all the stress off the bottom of the yak. It is a must if he will be traveling with it alot.

Yeah, I would recommend tying it upside down. (take the front rod holder out) I think by tying it upside down, u will have less stress on it when u strap it and decrease the chance of that happening again.
Bourg, you know you are gonna get another one.

Do you think we ought to just leave in alone and let it pop out on its own?
Any recommendations on securing it to the top of the Tahoe from the picture?
Also, We are formally applying to be members of TD Team Ascend.

Because of the hump behind the seat, it will not sit right turned over on the top. I tried it a few times and had to put that part in my sunroof for it to ride flush.
I think so.
I rrrrreeeallly want to do some fall/winter marsh fishing.

I havent tried it upside down yet but it looks like the seat hump will be in the way too.

I would leave it alone for a day or two and see if it pops out. Read my edit about the rack.

I already have the grommets on my board too. That thing is pretty expensive and so I'll likely wait until next year for something like it.
I'm guessing you didn't click the link, it's nsfw btw.
