Any of you guys slow troll for specks this time of year? If so what are you trolling with? Ive only done it a few time but the past week I’ve seen see a few boats slow trolling in the creeks and mouths of bay having decent success.
Thanks for your time!

Never done it but it works.
Swim baits, 3/16 jigs pulled with TM on flats next to deeper channels.
At least a case of beer and 4 hands

Did once with 1oz saltwater rattletraps, caught a few but they were good ones.

Used to do it on lake ponchartrain along the bridges. Rattletrap with a soft plastic trailer a couple feet behind it. Swim bait would work to I’m sure. I used jig head for added weight to get bait down. Also did it off down riggers just to see if it would work. It did, but I was taking king fishing boat for a spin and it’s a bit overkill.

There is a guy on YouTube and Facebook out of Slidell that really shares a lot of detailed information.

I just ordered some lead core braid to rig up a trolling combo. Ive done ok with lipped plugs and rattle traps.

Lake P trolling rig
Louisiana Fishtales is a good YouTube channel for this.
They are gonna be selling these rigs this year through matrix.
Lots of YouTube videos on this.
I’m sure it’s not as easy as they make it look. They catch hammers.
