either you don’t fish or full of shite. One or the other or maybe both
weak troll game.

Keep trying.

I've forgot about more fish than you've caught son.

Stick to your freshwater bell river trolls and stay in your lane

There's no way your lead acid batteries just sit all year and then are still good during "trout season" once a year.

use my anchor more often and seldom use my trolling motor

Most TMs now ARE anchors in 2024. I only pull my anchor out when we go sit on the beach. Otherwise, my TM is my anchor.

your right they don't , that's why I charge them around march or so my batteries are good for most of the summer and fall. Normally I bring in my batteries inside during the winter. Why is this so hard to believe? Are you guys the court room for trolling motor batteries and im on trial? you wanna come over and see the charge on my batteries now? I'm willing to bet you my charge at the moment now are prolly over 80 percent still if I hooked them up to my charger. I have a 36v great white on a 228 sea pro. How is it that you know more than what I know and do on "my boat" you people are something .

I saltwater fish ftr.

i don't use a TM that's is remote controlled. I use the Ole school method of using my hands to control mine when I need to move.

I used to use another boat my dad owned and over 16 years of him and I having it, that boat produced over 4 thousand trout and since having a new boat for the last 4 yrs I've caught less cause I'm very busy but usually fish around 7-10 times a yr from April till end of october these days when i used to fish 20 times a yr beforehand.. Again I charge my 3(36v) batteries 1 time normally each year of the last 4 years.

I'm honestly impressed then, but bringing them in over the winter is probably the key. I always have one bite the dust completely if it goes a couple months in the cold without a good charge.

For my acid crank battery I bought a solar panel trickle charger on Amazon that I hook up when the boat is sitting on trailer. Cheap maintainer for like $20-$30. Set it and forget it

I ain’t buying it either. Even if he barely uses them low charge in cold weather is a death sentence for batteries

You don't believe it's possible because you never actually touch grass to even get on the water because your posting all your life

Okay now switch back to your other user.

ive fished so much over the years from vermillion bay, delacroux(winter only), cocodrie that I know my spots and I show up and anchor right away and I'll move if I need to with the tm along a reef or beach etc. Thats if im only fishing specks. My game and spots are completely different for red snapper. I use like 3 different ship wrecks from ww2 that are money on a good day. I only use the 100ft rope and anchor. No tm. I dont really depend on my TM to the point I wear it down enough to charge it when I get back. I don't really like toting a big boat around anyways with a TM. I do hear those gps/remote controlled tm's are nice. Sometimes I get lazy but yes I disconnect all 3 and bring them into the enclosed garage where it's heated etc. Helps the life out alot.

I need to get one for my TM batteries (keep putting it off), since my storage place doesn't have power, but not too worried about the cranking battery since it's obviously getting charged every time I run the boat.
