Do not get less than 36V you’ll regret it. Probably ur last one you will buy. Get the 36V. Its a no brainer all those bay boats are billboards catching wind.

One of my friends has a minn kota with self deploy, I pilot, remotes, transducer etc but it has a cable steer foot control. That thing is extremely nice to fish with.

Have the 24v 80lb terrova on my frontier. If I was doing it again, I would go 36v 112lb. My boat is the rolled gunnel open version so it’s lighter than the top cap models. On super windy days, the TM has to work really hard to keep the boat on spot lock.
If you have the space, spend the extra money now on the 36v setup.

Never had an issue in 2.5yrs with my 24v 80lb Motorguide on a 20ft bay boat. I fish in plenty of chop and wind often. It keeps up just fine and fishes all day. Just make sure you get one with spot lock.

Mine is the 60” shaft. Seemed to be the best size to fit on boat without much overhang when stowed and unless it’s extremely choppy, the prop stays in the water at its lowest deployed height.
