Besides this being bullshite (unless you drive a lot of highway), MPG's are entirely reliant on driving style/commute. Just because you get one average doesn't mean someone else will get the same.

Yeah, it helps when you have to carry a fuel tank and tool box and need access to a gooseneck hookup. I have a crew cab short bed also and the fuel tank and tool box would't let me use the gooseneck when I had them in it.
