Hey fellas, had fried crappie filets with ice tea. Brining up some boar hams, venison roasts, and wild turkey breasts for the smoker tomorrow.

Eh, I took limnology in college.
Crappie seems to be the most widely known term, in and outside of LA.
I prefer sacalait or sac au lait though but aint nobody around d here knows what I'm talking about. Hell they call shad shiners and all bream perch. Damn Texans. Lol
