We put in at the back of a subdivision, my friend knows folks. A day down the Amite, we ended up at Magnolia Bridge Road. There’s a ramp to get out at MBR. You want a full day or partial? The subdivision where Thunderbird Beach use to be, might be a place to launch a Kayak. I like a good current, water moving, less paddling.

No. You got to the turn right before big johns. The sandbars are a good couple miles up river from there. Looking at google maps, the turn near Mallard Lakes is the most popular of the sand bars.
