Logistics for a engineering company in Houston. It can be crazy at times and then dead at times. Just missed out last week on a chance to hunt in Mississippi because we had to get a contract moving for one of our clients. But now I probably won't hit a lick until after new years with every one taking vacation. But my 2 kids get most of my time in the spring and early fall because of there involvement in sports.

surg equip sales/business owner

ranges....last season hunted almost half of the season with very little fishing. this season, hunted more during the week than weekends, but fished much more.

depends on work.....when everything is rolling well, allows time to hunt/fish. when things are slow, gotta go make something happen at work.

i wouldnt trade it for the world tho.

Naval Architect and Marine Engineer

I work mon-fri 7:30-4:30 but we are a small office and very laid back. I also own land 10 miles away on the outskirts of town so I can make a morning hunt and be at work on time unless I kill then I will be an hour or two late

I'm an Insurance Agent. I hate it but am going to stick it out and open my own agency in a few years.

Right now I work 8:30-5 M-Th. Fridays we rotate getting off at 12, 1, and 3. I work at a somewhat small agency, only 12 people and I'm 1 of 4 agents. We don't document vacation or days off, so as long as we don't abuse it I take as much as I want off.

Right now I hunt and fish a whole lot, but my wife is ready for kids so I think it my hunt/fish time will be drastically reduced in the next few years.

Interventional Radiology Tech, I work M-F either 7:30-4 or 8:30-5 depending on the week. We take call for 7 days every 4th week. I dont get to hunt or fish as much as I'd like but most weekends that arent filled with kid/family functions I'm in the woods or on the water. I've got a good bit of PTO but dont get a chance to take it too often because of the case load and the guilt of leaving only one guy at either hospital. I hunt with my uncle south of my house in Mansfield sometimes and I own land in Bienville parish but it takes 1.5hrs to get there so its not a viable choice for quick afternoon hunts.

Family Medicine physisican in a rural area still delivering babies and doing hospital work.

I dictate my schedule but still end up working approx 80 hours per week and when in town I round 7 days a week.

Luckily the lease is only 5 miles from my house and the hospital so I can get alot of short hunts in. Not unusual to duck hunt 1-2 times during the week and still make it to the hospital for 8am and clinic for 9. Most of my deer hunting is on the weekends but I will occasionally schedule a morning or afternoon off during the week. I have also taken call from the deer stand but those trips are rarely productive.

Quality Control Supervisor at a large fabrication company. Right now I work 8 hours a day, but normally average 10.5/day. I get to hunt the weekends and the afternoons if I am finished my honeydo's. I usually have off all of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The surgeons here are not the sterotype surgeons you see on tv. Very down to earth people for the most part. I'm lucky to work in an enviornment like that.
