What’s the board’s take on Nodak Spud AKs?

Local gun shop has a used one on the wall for $800. Black plastic furniture.

Nodak makes receivers for AKs. The lowers are gtg. I dont think they build rifles

Could be a home build, could be a shop build, find out the builder if you can. Depending on the kit the rifle might be worth rebuilding regardless of the quality of the build, but it doesn't sound like it having black furniture.. but people do some dumb stuff to their firearms.

Depends on who assembled it. I'm no ak expert, but if my memory is right, nodak made the receiver flats that everyone assembled all the cheap kits with.
The nodak part isn't what you need to be concerned with...just whoever assembled it.
