Shot a Dos Gris that was too old to tell, band was worn flat without numbers anymore, and LADW&F was unable to pull numbers off it with further testing so no idea but likely pretty old.

Killed a snow goose with a neck collar about 10 years ago that 11 years old, same year I killed a green head 4 days after it was banded in Alberta in SWLA.

Double banded green head which one was a money band. $50. The duck was banded 8 years before I harvested it. I've killed some Canada geese on the Mississippi that the bands were worn down smooth. This doesn't always indicate old age. It could simply indicate a lot of time spent on sand bars or similar settings.

my nephew killed a double banded and collared ross' goose that was 12 years old and had barnacles on his beak. Poor guy will never be able to top it the rest of his life probably.

Was this right off the red? Red river parish? Perhaps on or near a refuge?

9 year old speckled belly for me. Banded in the Northwest Territories.

We shot 8 bands in one week right across the river from where they banded them like 10 days before. They learned precisely dick about the migratory Habits of those ducks....but man our lanyards look cool.

I've shot 2 in my life but never called them in. That was in the mid 90's. Wonder if it's too late?

10 yr old greenhead that was banded in MN, got him in S LA. Shot that bird at 1 min before legal shooting ended, he didn't get to 10 by being fooled and landing in dekes at 2 in the afternoon

Every statistic I can find shows that of the 13 million ducks banded through 2008 or 2009 about 7 million were mallards.
