It probably will if I had to guess. Haven’t asked Josh about it but it likely will since it will be printed titanium. Helios is great but the flow through cap throws fireballs lol. Hyperion k actually is better on 5.56 guns than the Helios qd because of the gas insertion into the coaxial system at an earlier time. Running a brake in your Helios like the rearden system will make it sound better on 5.56 though.

Dang maybe I just need to get the K, save the $400.

On a bolt gun they helios qd is significantly quieter though. All depends what you want to do with it. Also, their titanium cans all have a 10.3 inch rating for 5.56 while the helios inconel has no restrictions. All really depends on use case.

Well I’d intended to get a shorter bolt gun can than the hyperion and I wanted a dedicated 5.56 can. It sounds like maybe the hyperion K or helios qd ti would do both.

Helios QDTi is probably your best bet if you wanna do both.
You can get them pretty cheap if you shop around too. Like around $1100. Fry double m defense or something.

Seems like y’all are pretty knowledgeable about cans. What do y’all think about the Gemtech One for shooting 5.56, 308 bolt, 300 blk 8” with the QD mount?

I have never messed with that one but I don’t think id get a fully auto inconel can unless I needed it because of the weight. For that money id probably get a titanium can, most any of the ones we’re talking about would handle what you have.

If you buy one online like that, you just get it shipped to a place like bowie and use their silencer shop kiosk and they hold it for you?

Zero complaints about my Mask for rimfire. Easy to clean in the tumbler, minimal frp, very quiet in general.

I love my Nomad 30 with the EBrake on my 308 bolt gun

It's probably ok. Its old tech though. There are newer things that are lighter and quieter. Also, me personally, I like direct thread. It's cheaper, lighter, shorter, and you dont have tolerance stacking.

Yup. Bowie charges $100 for NFA transfers I think.

Do they not charge that if you buy one from them? I guess if you save $400 on their price it’s probably worth it

I thought if you buy from silencer shop there’s never transfer fees?

There is not a transfer fee from silencershop dealers. You can still transfer from other nfa dealers though and that's how you get stuck with an NFA transfer fee. Only way to avoid the NFA transfer fee is to buy/order from bowie or buy direct from silencershop and have it sent to bowie.

I have a Banish 22 from silencer central. I think it cost about $900, including the gun trust and shipping and all the paperwork. Ordered it Sept 2021 and received it Nov 2022. I have it on a Taurus TX22 pistol. With subsonic 710fps ammo, it is quiet as a BB gun. I can plink in my backyard and the neighbors won’t hear it. So I’m happy with it.

Just ordered the nomad 30 for my 308 bolt gun. Is the ebrake worth it? Would be nice if it would make the recoil more manageable so my 8 year old can handle it without much issue.

I had a $100 credit to Dead Air so I figured I would try it. I feel like it makes slight difference in lower recoil and sound. There is a good video on the difference somewhere on youtube. And it looks cool, lol.

I also have a Nomad 30 with the ebrake on a 308 bolt, and recoil is nonexistent. I honestly have never shot it without the ebrake, so i dont know how much it actually helps.
