Who here is wise to hunting Wyoming and point system

My son and I both have five points for elk and mule deer thru 2024. Includes the points I just bought.
Can we purchase another point early next year, and then try to draw? Is six points now enough?

You will have to enter next year's drawing with 5 points or not enter and just buy a point for 2026 if you want 6 points.
Gohunt shows that 5 was enough to draw elk or deer general tags last year.

The application period is before the point buying period

What are you trying to draw? They split the general into zones last year so some zones are easier to draw than others.

And you should be able to draw a general elk tag next year.
