I could be wrong, but isn't Gunbroker a person to person site?

You are buying from an individual or a dealer in another state, so you pay the agreed upon price plus any shipping fees.

I haven't bought from them in years, are they now charging sales tax?

Yes, they started charging state sales tax (buyer's state) in 2021.

Same with SGammo.com

I just sent them an email asking if they will honor Louisiana's tax-free weekend. Hopefully i'll get a favorable response in a couple of days.

Actually the great majority of GB sellers are businesses now days. I'm generally very skeptical of individuals with little to no customer feedback selling on GB seeing as how you pay 100's or 1000's of dollars upfront for the item.

Let's just say there's been a scam or two from the "person to person" transactions there.

Damn, that's news to me.

I guess it's like everything else...only a matter of time before government gets their hands on it

Damn, That was fast!!! Here is their response!

"As far as we know, our sales tax API from Taxjar has the 2nd Amendment Sales Tax Holiday scheduled so you should not be charged sales tax when checking out if you place an order with us from September 6th - 8th.

Thank you

Mitchell
SGAmmo"

Also, spend $200 or more and get free shipping.

No

Gunbroker honors nothing because they have honor, trust and integrity issues quite honestly.
