The Schumer shutdown is going to be owned by the Dems.

It is what it is. Dems own it and will pay for it politically.

I hope it goes on for a lot longer.

Not sure what “that” is but Dems extended the subsidies (IRA) and are trying to do so again. Reps are trying to end them.

That part is pretty clear to everyone.

I just want 60+ so they can cut whatever they want with impunity.

Are you saying that when the shutdown hits 60 days the administration can start laying people off?
Of course I'd expect the big nose from some Judge to but in, but never mind that for now.

Think bigger, fella. No more spending bills get passed. Much, much bigger win.

COVID subsidies that were written to expire until Joetato extended then and they are expiring again
So you have 2021 obamacare again. What's the problem?

Democrats in the Senate are refusing to vote to pass the continuing resolution.

A 60 vote majority is required. Republicans do not hold 60 seats in the Senate.

ETA: Hopefully this helps, but I'm sure it won't.

so republicans need to figure out how to negotiate instead of posturing and posting stupid memes

You’re high on drugs (no pun intended) if you think ppl are going to blame Dems for their brand new spike in medical bills next month.

“It’s the Dems fault because we would’ve canceled these sooner and you would’ve been paying them for years already. So don’t blame republicans, the people actively trying to cancel them.”

Really should be careful generalizing everyone into one category

No offense, but you are paid by taxes and taxes are theft.

Unless you are military or carrying out a constitutional role, I likely don't think your job should exist.

Wait didnt you guys fix everything with Obamacare? Everyone's premiums and deductible are just fine right? Why would we even need MORE subsidies 15 years later?

Again, and try and stay with me this time, when bills skyrocket next week nobody will give a shite what happened 15 years ago.

This isn’t hard for most people. It’s weird you’re struggling so much.

I'm going to be very happy about it. It's about dang time people actually started paying for what they're getting so maybe there will be a push to repeal that stupid "health care" law.
