Even if in some sense you agree with the idea of choice, it's stories like this that should lead you logically to the idea that some doors should stay shut.
Yes it's the slippery slope, but humans, as a species, do not limit themselves very well. Even traditional humans have a rough time, throw in the Modern "Progressive movement," and they seek to pen every door, open every possibility with little care for the repercussions.
Well here are the repercussions. The loss of life, the need to get power via "trophies." It's all sick. There are times where we need to say, No.
Even atheists should believe we just don't have enough information to be making these decisions.
