Imminent domain grievances will be a big expense.

Yes, Americans own property along parts of the border

Well if World War Z is believable, their walls are secretly being built for the zombie apocalypse. RPGs got nothing on zombies.

If $25 billion is correct so what. That's half of what Obama gave to Iran, a country that wants nothing more than to nuke us. AND nuke us with bombs made with uranium that Hillary sold to Russia, who turned around and sold the uranium to Iran.

But Russia may or may not have "influenced" our election.

The left needs to be exterminated.

Sorry, rant over

$12.8 million per mile = the wall just got about 10 feet taller!

I'll support a massive wall above and below ground. I wouldn't want it to be cheap and ineffective

It might make it through but it will be a hard fight. The Wall isn't politically popular with all GOP constituencies.

Any guesses on how long it will take to finish? I say 7 years

No one knows. I read an article today that estimated 16 years

Article also stated it would cost $700 a year to maintain.

Lol no

The vast majority of Texas' border miles are privately held

They are basing it on old government spending habits where all of the senators had to be paid about 10 million each in the contract.

We also have two small Indian reservations and Arizona has a big one. That's gonna be a shitshow.

I mean we can't really expect people to vehemently support something and actually take the time to research the basic details of that something. Can we?

A 15% tax on money sent to Mexico and a 5% tariff on imports from Mexico would bring in over $12b a year alone.

That's $48b in 4 years so there's room for overages.

Let's not forget that the Feds run budget deficits of $500b in a single year like its nothing.

How do you figure. Build the wall to the north of them. They'll beg you to build it to their south.
