Maybe don’t get in that situation first? Maybe?
I don’t get it. We watch her allow one vehicle to pass, and it looks like she was waving the to pass them. So why would we assume she was was actually blocking them when she wasn’t on the video? Like it’s possible, but don’t understand why would see one thing then assume it’s the opposite thing when they weren’t able to see it.

Is she a traffic director? What’s your point?
That she wasn’t trying to impede ICE or go after them. And there are eyewitnesses who say they heard one officer yell “move, move, move.” I mean I think the simplest explanation regardless, was she was probably scared and wanted out of there, because that would be a normal human reaction. Most people aren’t tying to run people over, especially if they have gun. Those who do, usually have a history of violence and criminality.

without first acknowledging her decisions put her squarely in position to achieve the exact results that ended her life.
I mean it looks like she was waving ICE vehicles around.

Are y’all trolling? Do you really think this is anything like Favre?

Nolan is my favorite film maker of all time, but holy shite what an arrogant and stupid statement.
I mean this is obviously a true statement, and it’s a fairly common theme in various fictional works (like in Thor).

How is that socialist?
Because that would mean the owners don’t own the means of production when the proletariat doesn’t produce. :dunno:

About 15k
When you said you didn’t have to report, I thought you meant it was under that $600 or whatever threshold where it’s required to issue a 1099, even though you’re still expected to report it.

But in what world do you not have to report $15k? Was it a mistake or something?

Then you know how man of your cases aren’t caused by a random 3rd vehicle that doesn’t hit anyone.
I don’t understand this argument at all. By this logic, you could just drive down the wrong side of the road indefinitely and so long as you’re not involved in any wrecks directly, then you didn’t cause any of them.

That’s obviously silly, and I’m sure you’ll say that’s not what happened, but that’s entirely consistent with the logic of the arguments you’ve been repeating for 40 pages, and in response to a bunch of people trying to point out both the legal and logical flaws of it.
I can’t ever tell if he’s trolling or sincere, but this is par for the course for Sam for years. And I’m pretty sure he’s popped up on here a few times over the years for his hyperbole.

You mean the standard that was overturned in 1969 in Brandenburg v. Ohio?

He could be, but the time/date is based on the user, so whoever screenshot it was likely across the Atlantic somewhere.

from the lens of previous Superman movies and a serious tone, it sucked.
I mean besides the first couple Superman films, most are average to outright bad. I mean Superman 4 was so bad, they didn’t make another one for nearly 20 years (after 4 in less than 10 years). And regarding a serious tone, is that even a Superman thing, other than maybe MOS? I mean does it get less serious than this poster from Superman 3, with Superman carrying Richard Pryor? And compared to Superman 4, this was well received (31% on RT vs. 14%; 5.0 on IMDB vs. 3.7).

He may not work at Forbes anymore, not sure.

He used to be their main movie guy, if he doesn't work there anymore.
Yeah. Scott doesn’t write for them anymore. I’ve followed him for years, and while he’s definitely left-leaning, he doesn’t come off as a far left socialist at all, particularly since he’s a numbers and dollars guy. At least he doesn’t come off as far left relative to other critics.
quote:

but Forbes guy called it "refreshingly political", which for him means"anti-GOP" (he is a far left socialist guy)
Huh? I couldn’t find anything about it being political from the only Forbes review on Rottentomatoes.

Not only that, but people will often shoehorn politics into things when there are at best unintended parallels, but at worst, just imaginary. And I think this is more true with more political “extremists.”

And the far left is really bad at this. Like I’m not sure how many times I’ve seen tankers on twitter act like The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are far right films because of the “mass surveillance” in TDK even though it’s pretty clearly showing the moral quandary with Lucious explicitly saying that it’s wrong.

TDKR is even more laughable because they think the “police” being the good guys makes it far right, and because Bane attacks the stock exchange and they think that was an intentional parallel to Occupy Wall Street because those protests started around the same time. Never mind that The League of Shadows, has more parallels to Islamist Extremists (even without being explicitly religious) than those cosplaying revolutionaries.

Why are some of the responses to getting one of the best directors out there far less than ecstatic?

I'm still on the boat that this is largely theater, usually is when anything political is done this loudly, but it is 100% entertaining to watch the shitfest.
Sure. But this is more like the real housewives. They got on the show partially due to their wealth, partially due to their flair for the dramatic, and partially due to their need for attention. Not completely real, but not completely fake either.

While funny watching this shite show live, Elon isn’t really putting forth anything new there.
No.It’s not new, and what makes this interesting, isn’t whether it’s new information or even true, it’s that they went from BFFs, to having some normal police disagreements, to accusations about suppressing information about one’s relation with a sex trafficker, very quickly.

I figured they would have a falling out eventually, as so often is the case with Trump (and Elon to a lesser degree though), I just didn’t expect it to get to this point so quickly.
