And who listens to Glenn Beck

I found his show entertaining and informative a while back. He called the Arab spring before it happened by about 1-1.5 years almost exactly how it would.

Yes he can be nuts, but sometimes it was a nice listen.

You say you agree with her on most issues, yet you use a Conservative show host as an example as being lost in rhetoric? Have you heard the shite Liberals talk show hosts have been saying the last 6 years?

Of course I have. But why does anyone have to go to the extreme on either side? Why can't I have dinner without being asked if I heard about what happened to the My Pillow guy?

There's nothing wrong with following this stuff to some degree. It's important. But there is certainly a point where it takes over who a person is and makes them not as much fun to talk to.

To hear an otherwise properly functioning adult use the word "woke" multiple times a day is a bit ridiculous. She once got into an argument with our television while an HPV vaccine ad aired.

More specifically everyone I know that previously wasn't political but is now is right of center.

I’ll admit I never talked politics even though I paid attention until basically I was being harassed on why I voted for a nazi. And then covid happened and everything with that was political, including the masks and barring me from entering any restaurant or gym or museum because I wasn’t vaccinated.

So yeah when you shove that shite in my face I’m going to push back. And call you out in your hypocrisy.

For example, I’m doing zoom meetings during a global pandemic when my mayor is flying first class to Europe to talk about the weather.

I also fail to believe you "agree" with her on most issues.

I do, for the most part. Hell, I voted for Trump twice.

I just don't feel the need to discuss politics every day. It's like talking about baseball in December.

Discussing mid-term elections in Pennsylvania or Georgia over morning coffee when I live in Louisiana seems a bit silly, sometimes.

One family member refuses to wear pants because Jesus and another wants to walk around topless because feminism.

My sympathies, Loup.

I want to say something soon, but it seems she's so drawn in to this stuff lately, I don't know how she'll take it.

I've let her know that I've tuned-out, but she keeps on truckin'. She recently told me that she thinks Sean Hannity's a sell-out and not a true conservative.

She might be posting on the political boards, here...

How some of you simp for Pfizer over a vaccine that doesn’t work is beyond me.

People forcing experimental shite on kids are disgusting. Who knows what the effects might be? They might wind up infertile.

The people who use that term never tried to ruin the livelihood of people who made a personal health decision. Give me cringe over nanny state fascism every time.

People that only talk politics are usually douche bags. I will say though I'd currently rather talk to some conservative nut than a liberal nut.

Then gently tell her that. Or just not reply to whatever she says about it. She will catch the hint eventually.

I have the same political views as the majority of my close friends and my SO so it makes having conversations regarding political stuff much easier.

But for my conservative friends I just don’t talk politics with them. I’m not gonna change their mind and they aren’t gonna change mine. We still love each other anyways though

yup. they make a lot of money too. hey, it's capitalism. the problem is they have a lot of listeners; many of which are very weak minded and not capable of researching and thinking things out on their own.

that's the thing; you DON'T have to make a choice. it's not one extreme or the other. there is plenty of room in the middle.
