Holy shite if this isn't the biggest cop out!

I make a post about someone I perceive to be a millennial, you reply sarcastically questioning whether or not I know what a millennial actually is, then I provide you with a link from the fricking Census Bureau backing my claim, only for you to say it's irrelevant and subjective. L-O-L.

I'm a millennial. Born in 89. Not shitting on millennials, just that a lot of people born during the US Census Bureau's time period of "millennials" share that extreme angst and dress like losers with stupid haricuts. That's all.

1000%

They were taught to hate capitalism...

2nd...the Democrats...push how unfair compensation is all the time...

So young people feel convinced...capitalism is evil or creates unfair advantages for white males. Its not their fault

We (white people) did build this country...first to the moon...won war after war...

That said, we created freedom...we created the constitution...3 branches of government.

Any race can succeed here...

But if you have children before education and skill training...then you're on a track to hardship.

The Bible says sin has consequences...

Having 75% of black children out of wedlock is sin...the fruit is on TV everyday for all the wrong reasons

This!!! This is the lie that they believe. They actually believe that, when socialism takes over, that they will have 3,000 sq ft houses, new cars, no jobs, and Starbucks every day while the government pays for everything. This is their belief, at its core. The government will give the the comfy, materialistic life that I deserve.

I don’t know how anyone who has studied socialism in any country could believe this, but they do. Their professors did a number on them. Wonder what they’ll be thinking in the bread lines??

Pretty sure she’s texting on her $1200 iPhone using non-gubment issued cell service. Or maybe she’s ordering and Uber or GrubHub. Or shopping on Amazon.

The Pew Research Center and Brookings Institute defines Millennials as being born between 1981-1996. In fact...most social scientists cite 1981-1996 as being the years encapsulating Millennials. There are outliers like the U.S. Census Bureau who use 1980-2000. I have also seen some social scientists like Neil Howe use 1982-2004 to date Millennials.

The only thing I know for certain is that I'm a Millennial and am 34 years of age. There is very little I have in common with the girl in the photograph posted in the OP. That's why 1996 is usually the cut off because the experiences of young adults born after 1996 compared to those mature adults born in 1981 are so vastly different. People born in 1997 and beyond had a very different upbringing and life experience than those even born in 1990.

Dude, if it wasn't made clear enough to you: I DO NOT GIVE A frick.

Why are you typing out your long-winded rationale as if I questioned (I didn't) your subjective (your word, not mine) take on what a millennial actually is?

Give it up. Jesus.

I'm going to use the Census Bureau age range. Cry about it.

You clearly do, otherwise you wouldn't have wandered over to the U.S. Census Bureau's official website to get your statistics.

I know it sucks to be proven wrong and to have to rely on a U.S. government website to attempt a rebuttal, but there is no need to be this pissed this early in the morning.

Yes, I care about what a millennial is, hence why I backed up my opinion with a valid source. What I don't give a frick about is YOUR opinion of what a millennial is. Don't conflate the two. They're not at all alike.

I'm going to use the Census Bureau age range. Cry about it some more.

Guys, it doesn’t matter what her age or designated generation is. She can identify as a millennial or gen z or whatever. She can identify as a member of The Beatles if she wants.

Also...the previous generations don't get a pass on this either. The so-called "Greatest Generation" were not the greatest parents. We know this because they sired the Baby Boomers - a generation I think we can all agree did more harm to this country than good. It's also a generation that continues to do harm.

If it weren't the Fourth, I'd ignore this above bs...however, I can't. It's 'Monday morning quarterbacking'...real cool; but like tits on a boar hog...worthless. And no, we don't "all agree". Name the SPECIFIC 'sins' that you assume that Boomers assume as "harm" to this Nation. Further, name WHICH Generation or Group has contributed the most to the greatness and accomplishments in our National history. Which Group is "the greatest parents"? I won't hold my breath.

From my POV - being a Boomer - my Parents and Peers lived responsibly and honorably on the informational and cultural knowledge that was the norm at that time. Most all cultures and people have 'blind spots'; hell, chain smoking was cool and considered harmless back then. Yeah, we smoked grass and saw things that they did not, and we reacted and rebelled with predictable criticism for the 'worldly' blindness; but we never disrespected their extraordinary sacrifices. Or their dedication to slave away and provide a better life. They did the best they could, with what they had to work with. And they were right re drugs; as the normalization of drug culture has cost this Nation dearly, specifically in the lower classes who fall prey to the illusory, perceptive aspects of seeing things that one is ill-equipped to deal with...Spiritually and Worldly so.

And IMO, the "greatest harm" that Boomers did to this Nation was in TRUSTING our greedy and self-serving 'Public Servants'. The one's that supposedly served the National good, and kept our confiscated Social Security money in a lock box. Power corrupts...proof positive being obvious where we now stand; with our own 'Government' turning on us like we were/are the enemy. And essentially destroying this Nation. My Parents would not tolerate a week's worth of this crap. They would not have laid down to Nancy and Chuck's bs "insurrection" narrative, in the face of a stolen election. People would have been hung in the public square, so that all would fear those who LIE, in the name of the public good. Hypocrites would be a generous term; delusional traitors more apropos.

If Jesus grants me my fondest wish, it will be to be born back into the same life scenario that I was in this one; and retain and employ the knowledge and wisdom I have acquired in this life's struggle, earlier in my life. And again, live among and be raised by the unique characters that hard times created and that formed that blessed time. That would be 'heaven' for me.

Nothing personal toward your critique; everybody is entitled to their opinion. At least for now; but freedom of speech is quickly fading out with Boomers. So, it'll be the 'baby' of them who have to rock it. We'll see what the high-minded and sanctimonious braggarts and critics can do in the real world.

I love this Nation as founded. The Words in those Founding Documents are 'manna from Heaven'.
