This makes no sense.

It absolutely does. It makes perfect sense. It’s why killing people is reprehensible to a civilized society, because it’s immoral. Otherwise, it may be inconvenient to some, but overall, if it serves the interests of society on a whole, then it’s perfectly okay according to your argument of laws serving the people. It was also the argument of Hitler with his undesirables. Not really any difference, but we have a set of laws built upon morality and the right of the individual, which sets us apart from that garbage mentality. It is based upon biblically based morality, not the whims of society or an all powerful tyrannical dictator. If so, then you may not even have the right to exist.

You're free to be a Catholic and think any abortion after conception (or hell, even using Birth Control in the first place) is immoral, but it's not intellectual inconsistent for the same person to not desire those things to be made illegal by your government.

Moral relativism.

The heart is just a pump that sustains brain activity. Brain activity (whenever that occurs in development) should signify “life.”

An uneducated stance.

I'm just pointing out they can use the framing against you and your stance and call you the same monster as the blue hairs pushing for abortion up to birth.

Just see them rant about IVF if you want an easy example.

Again, that's why that is THE issue in this discussion.

I said Republican.
Doesn’t mean I’m 100% conservative.
Good day..

Yes, I would not allow someone to kill an innocent person because of something someone else did.

In your opinion, what other crimes should allow someone to kill innocent people?

It’s a serious issue. You don’t have the right to man-splain it to people you don’t know and you don’t know their situation. Mind your own business and get out of other peoples lives.

Most people disagree with you and your wife on this issue. What does that tell you?

I've seen you post numerous times on here, spewing absent minded leftist garbage.

In direct response to your question, I've seen far too many former abortion doctors and nurses agreeing with me.

What does that tell you that experts have left that field because they have also come to believe it to be murder?

I said you're free to make the moral case within your personal beliefs.

Morality and political preference are 2 different things.

Care to respond to the portion regarding birth control and Plan B being solutions to all the issues you came up with?

I almost made that distinction in my original response.

As a conservative, I don't feel any comradery with Republicans. I imagine most politically active people (aka: people who spend lots of time on a political message board) feel exactly the same way. So leading with "I'm a Republican" was counterproductive.

The issue for the subject of this thread was a “pro life mom” who considers the fetus a baby worth protecting in any other circumstance unless the dad is a criminal. Then it’s ok to be murdered.

You turned it into a pro choice thread of debate about weeks.

Just a heads up, the fetal development period starts at the 9th week.
Roughly at that point it’s referred to as a fetus, but development started 9 weeks prior to that.

What species of zygote?

Still, I'm with you, implantation is where I think a new human comes into existence.
that’s when pregnancy begins. It was a new human prior to implantation.

A is A.

Note - not every new human survives to implant.

That doesn’t change that the majority disagrees with them.

You literally just affirmed my point.

Going beyond "is this a human or not" wades into convenience/inconvenience (people's exact circumstance).
