Yea, open primaries are way better, it lets people switch parties to nominate a candidate that will certainly lose the general.

1) Two of them are Democrats, so anybody with a semi-decent brain won't be voting for them in the general election. Still, I love that the twin idiots Crockett and Green will no longer hold political office.

2) I'm assuming that the Republican who beat Crenshaw is, at the least, better than him. Hopefully, much better.

Not if you have a jungle primary like Louisiana has used for a decades.
